Pricing

How much do you charge?

It varies, according to each set. Visit my pricing page for a guideline. For an initial quote, leave your name and a brief description of your order here. I will reach out promptly to discuss an estimate. If you are ready to order, submit a form on my contact page and get an official quote.

How do you determine your pricing?

Like my cookies, pricing is completely custom. It is determined by the size/complexity of your order and is inclusive of my design time, baking time, and packaging. Pricing Disclaimer: Prices are subject to change depending on supply cost changes (i.e. butter, vanilla, etc.)

Brand

What does your name mean?

"Jazzy Jac's Cookies" represents me (Jac), how I would describe myself (jazzy), and what I do (make cookies). It's really as simple as that!

It may also be loosely based off of my AIM name from middle school, "jazzyjax29" ... but I'm more refined now so I'm sticking with the first story.

Booking

How far in advance do I need to order?

I kindly ask that your order be placed at least 3 weeks in advance of your desired pick-up date. Cookies are made to order and bookings fill up fast, so be sure to reach out as soon as you can. Please note: seasonal / high volume times of year may require more time.

Do you accommodate rush orders?

If an order is placed within 7 days or less of the due date, there will be a $25 rush order fee applied.

Quantity

Do you have a minimum order requirement?

No, I do not. If you want to give just one special cookie to one, special someone... I'm here for you!

Is there a maximum order limit?

Yes. There is a 2 dozen (24 cookies) max limit per typical order. If you wish to order a simple set, there is a 3 dozen max.

Why don't you take larger orders?

Because I am a one-woman show, I can only take a limited number of orders per week. I do best to make each order as personal as possible so by keeping the batches small, I can maintain the level of integrity and intricacy in my work that has become my standard.

Payment

Do you require a deposit upon booking?

Yes. I require a 50% deposit at the time of your booking to secure your date. The remainder can be paid between then and pick-up.

How do I pay?

I prefer payments be sent via Venmo @Jaclyn-deNicola. I also accept checks / cash in person. I do not accept card payment.

Sanitation

What sanitary practices are in place in your kitchen?

I am permitted to bake and sell my cookies from my home kitchen under the NJ Cottage Food Law. I always operate with the best practices for food safety and sanitation. In light of Covid-19, I am offering individual wrapping and heat-sealing in food-safe bags for no additional fee. I am also continuing to keep my kitchen clean and disinfected at all times.

Taste

Okay... but do they taste good...?

I equally prioritize the taste and look of my cookies. I know, there's nothing more disappointing than biting into a decorated treat that doesn't taste as good as it looks... we've all been there. So, I can assure you that my cookies are just as yummy as they are pretty.

But don't just take my word for it, see testimonials here.

Ingredients

What are the ingredients in your cookies?

The Jazzy Jac's Cookie contains butter, eggs, vanilla extract, confectioner's sugar, baking powder, salt, and flour. My royal icing (which I use to decorate all my cookies) contains confectioner's sugar, merengue powder, and vanilla extract.

Design

Can I send you design ideas?

Please do! The more specific you are in telling me what you want, the better! No small detail is unimportant and I am happy to work with you one-on-one to ensure you get exactly what you want. However, I will not copy another cookiers' work exactly. So, please refrain from sending cookie pictures as inspiration, as I do require artistic freedom.

Flavor

Do you have flavor options?

I offer one flavor only. My unique recipe creates the perfect, buttery sugar cookie to use as my base. I then flood it with my subtle but sweet vanilla royal icing, which makes for a perfectly smooth canvas that all my customers love!

Packaging

How do you package your cookies?

Each order is packaged in a clear-top bakery box. You can also opt to have each cookie individually wrapped and heat-sealed for no extra cost. Other options, including bows and custom packaging to match your event, are available for an additional fee.

Allergies

Are your cookies allergy-safe?

No. Though my standard sugar cookie does not contain nuts, they are not made in a nut-free kitchen and do contain gluten.

Shipping

Do you ship?

No. Home bakers are not permitted to ship any goods under the NJ Cottage Food Laws.

Pick-Up

Do I have to pick up my cookies or do you offer delivery?

They are pick-up only. I do not deliver.

Where are you located?

I am located in Hoboken, NJ. After placing your order, I will give you my exact location as well as a scheduled pick-up time. Upon your arrival, I will be ready and eager to see your reaction when I personally hand you your cookies (that's my favorite part).

Preservation

How long do the cookies stay fresh?

Your cookies will remain fresh up to 2 weeks. Opting for the heat-sealed packaging and storing them at room temperature is your best bet in preserving their freshness. Do not place them in the refrigerator, as condensation may occur and ruin the icing.

Can I freeze my cookies?

Absolutely! They last in the freezer up to 2 months. Place your cookies in an air-tight container. When you are ready to enjoy, take them out the night before and allow them to thaw completely.

Policies

Can I cancel my order?

Life happens and I understand that. I do ask that if you need to cancel your order, that you do so at least a week prior to your pick-up, before I begin preparing for it. If you cancel last minute and the cookies have already been made, you will be charged the full amount.

Will I receive a refund?

Because your cookies are made specifically for you, there are no refunds, returns, or exchanges.

Career

Are you a professionally trained baker?

Nope! I am 100% self-taught. I'd like to thank Instagram reels, YouTube, and my perfectionist tendencies!

What is your full-time career?

I am a professional dancer. You can find me kicking up my heels at Radio City Music Hall as a Rockette during the Christmas season and running around to classes/auditions throughout the rest of the year. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from The Ailey School / Fordham University at Lincoln Center and now spend my days dancing in NYC and around my kitchen!
